SMAC was named for three sisters

Want to know a little more about each of us?
Instead of a boring bio, we decided to tell you about who we really are...

"It started during the summer with a bright green spiral notebook. I would sit in an extra cubicle at my dad’s office and research everything I could about how to start an online boutique. That green notebook began with every idea I could think of along with the pros and cons of different website engines and list after list of documents needed to start a business. It then morphed into drawings of the site layout, chicken scratch where I had crunched numbers and goals of what I wanted the company to become. I had many days and nights where I thought, “what the heck am I doing?” but I was slowly making progress so how could I stop? A few months later, my green notebook was loud and proud with my beautiful new logo stuck front and center!

Overtime, I kept coming back to the idea of bringing women together. I wanted to create a place in which women of all ages could feel empowered and where judgement and competition were not allowed. After finding the most incredibly talented people to make my visions come to life (these girls have totally become my #girlsquad), I launched on October 13th, 2016 with the name SMAC. It stands for my sister's and I’s names put together: The Sarah, Mary Caroline and Amelia Company.

It’s only been a few months since the launch but I’ve learned more about myself, business, and how to multi-task like never before. I hope to continue to grow and find more opportunities throughout this journey but right now, I am so excited for all of YOU see the amazing and exciting new changes that SMAC will be debuting in the future. Stay tuned, peeps!"

XO, Sarah

If you could go back in time, with whom would you like to spend a day with?
Jane Austen! I love everything that she has written. I would love to ask her how she came up with such romantic story lines and such awesome characters…especially Mr. Darcy!

Do you have any hidden talents?
My hidden talent would have to be making people laugh. My family is always telling me that I’m so funny. Actually, I’m just being myself! But I just love to look at things in a funny way.

What’s your favorite color?
Pink – it’s genetic!

If you could eat one food that would never make you gain weight, what would it be?
That would have to be pound cake! It’s dangerous to have around because I will usually eat it until I make myself sick. It has the best texture and flavor, especially with the glaze icing!

If you could go back in time, with whom would you like to spend a day with?
I would want to spend the day with Martin Luther King, Jr. He has been my idol since I first studied about him. I have always been impressed by how he used such a positive message to change people’s outlook on life.

What’s your favorite color?
My favorite color is blue! Because all the shades are so beautiful
